Wow. I am blogging. I cannot believe it. But this fact is proof of how much Lisa’s friendship means to me. For you, Lisa, I will BLOG.

Lisa and my’s friendship go back to our freshman year of college. We were instant amigas when we discovered our shared intrest in downhill mountain sports and uncontrollable curly hair. It didn’t take me long to find out that there is much more to this girl than that and our adoration for one another has been growing by leaps and bounds ever since.

The past few months was a summer of transformation for both of us. I quit my ER job in May and spent the summer working as an RN at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp founded by the late Paul Newman for children with hemetology/oncology conditions. It was an experience that ripped down my barriers and filled up my heart. An experience that is dfficult to describe in words, but simply it was incredible. I so dearly hope to work there again next year and thus have a few months to fill…

Even though we are the very best of friends, Lisa and I are very different. Lisa effortlessly creates the most amazing art while I cannot draw for poo. Lisa is organized and methodical while I fly by the seat of my pants. And yet, our lives run parrallel to one another. We are both unemployed. We are both homeless without rent to pay. We are both curious about this world and desire to grab it by the wheel and tear down the road yelling “WAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOO.” We both love life and don’t intend on letting it pass us by.

So, here we are. The night before our long flight to Frankfurt. I am BLOGGING and Lisa is sitting behind me on another laptop attempting to post our itinerary on our BLOG so all our friends and family can share along with our adventure.  I never thought my life was interesting enough to post anything like this on the internet.  But the next two months will be fascinating.  Yes, indeed, it will be amazing.
